About Jim Brady
Summary
Together with my son Christopher, we make the Brady and Son Realty Team, from KW Silicon City. Our motto is, "Fulfilling Dreams, one Home at a Time." That reflects a strategy we abide by: We strive to make deals that help people, benefit all parties fairly, and allow us to make a little money along the way. Note, that puts our clients first.

I spent 31 years in aerospace, designing complex systems from national defense to manned space to planetary exploration. This experience affords me an understanding of complex systems, practices, and financial matters. The cost and pricing estimates I made for proposals and contracts negotiation in aerospace are directly applicable to pricing evaluations and bid recommendations in real estate.

From a real estate perspective, four of the five homes I've owned have been in Silicon Valley: Milpitas, Campbell, San Jose, and now Gilroy. In 1992 we moved across the country to Florida and built a gorgeous "forever home" only to return in 1996 when economic conditions changed and the opportunity to be back where our families were was too much to pass up.

Along the way I have personally done almost everything you can do to build or upgrade a house. When I retired I first planned to get into house flipping, and set about getting a real estate license to facilitate that. I have found that I like the satisfaction of getting a client into their next home at least as much as finishing a major renovation.

From time to time, I consult back to the aerospace industry and, when schedules get demanding or conflicts arise, Christopher is there to pick up the slack. He's saved more than one escrow from falling apart while I was away on travel. Our skills complement each other quite well. Our clients get to benefit from the combination.
