James Harrison, RCE, CAE
President and Chief Executive Officer
James Harrison is a nationally recognized leader of one of the largest multiple listing services (MLS) in Northern California. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, MLSListings Inc. serves approximately 16,000 subscribers, representing over 6,000 real estate firms, conducting business in more than 28,000 square miles.
James is a 30-year real estate industry veteran with vast REALTOR® Association and regional MLS management experience in the states of California, Texas, and Virginia.
Currently serving on the boards of directors for REALTORS® Property Resource (RPR) and the Council of MLSs, James is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Data Strategies Committee, the Executive Advisory Committee for MOVE.com, the MLS Policy Committee, the MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board, and the MLS Executives Advisory Group to NAR leadership. Additionally, he is a member of COVE, an organization representing the 20 largest MLSs in the country, as well as a member of the Silicon Valley Alliance of Chief Executives and the 2015 NAR Corporate Investor Council.
During his tenure in organized real estate, James was part of the Presidential Advisory Group that created the NAR Real Estate Gateway project, now known as RPR. He was also the former chair of the NAR/National REALTOR Database System Standards Board, a member of the board of governors for the Association Executive Institute, a director for NAR, and on the board of advisors for the Center for REALTOR Technology (CRT).
James holds a degree in Business Administration from Sul Ross State University in Texas. He also holds a Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives and a REALTOR Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation from NAR.
Most recently, James was named one of the 200 Most Powerful People in Real Estate 2014, in the Swanepoel Power 200 report. In both 2008 and 2010, Inman News named him as one of the Top 100 most Influential leaders in real estate.
Vice President, Public Affairs
Myra directs the MLSListings' Public Strategies and Services group, which includes media and industry relations, digital engagement, marketing communications, training and outreach programs. Myra brings to MLSListings more than 25 years of executive-level marketing, public relations and communications experience, and is responsible for the brand and reputation of the MLS, both locally and on a national stage. Myra’s career in communications began as a television news anchor and reporter, covering local and national news. She later served as a political strategist, spokesperson and advisor, serving two Houston’s mayors as well as the first Congressional campaign for the Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee. She has also represented major corporations and organizations such as Shell Oil, the Port of Houston, and the American Red Cross, among others, as spokesperson and communications & media strategist. In 2004 Myra began working in the real estate industry, for the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) as its Chief Communications Officer. Most recently, she served as the Vice President, Public Affairs for the Pacific West Association of REALTORS®. Myra has produced multiple Emmy Award-winning specials during her broadcast career. In 2013, she was named one of the ‘100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley’ by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. She holds a bachelor of arts in Radio and Television Broadcasting from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette and has served on the boards of a number of charity organizations. She is a native of Berkeley, California.
Vice President, Human Resources
Julie serves as Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Julie also manages the principal Human Resources function including recruiting, benefits, competitive pay, corporate development, and employee benefits programs, competitive pay, and organizational problem solving. Julie translates business strategies and objectives into the most optimal HR actions; she ensures proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives. Julie evaluates employee compensation and total benefits with an eye towards ensuring MLSListings is both a competitive employer and a great place to work. Julie also has integrated the direction and architectural platform for consumer advertising technology while maintaining and growing the MLSListings Ad Network and National Digital MLS Advertising Programs.
Julie has over 18 years of experience in human resource management, technical sales and marketing. Before joining MLSListings, Julie was responsible for recruitment and staffing at Cisco Systems. She previously served as Worldwide Director of Staffing at Exodus Communications, where she oversaw growth from 400 to 4,200 employees. Her experience in sales and marketing includes new product launches and the account management of enterprise accounts.
A California native, Julie is Silicon Valley technology companies, having also served as Western Regional Sales Manager for Symantec HR Business Program Manger, Staffing Consultant and Account Manager for Intel. Julie holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Mt. St. Mary’s College.
Chief Technology Officer
David Wetzel is the Chief Technology Officer for MLSListings. He is responsible for executing the technology vision for the company, driving the architecture strategy, and implementing solutions for developing and hosting leading-edge products and services. David leads the Engineering and Information Technology teams to create and execute the company’s long-term technology roadmap, which will allow MLSListings to deliver the best possible user experience for subscribers and consumers alike.
Now responsible for a large, complex database of real estate property listings for one of the largest multiple listing services (MLS) in Northern California, David’s proven expertise with Big Data and analytics is essential to overseeing data flowing from more than 16,000 real estate professionals, representing some 6,000 real estate firms, covering more than 28,000 square miles of Northern California.
David is a veteran Silicon Valley software and technology executive. Prior to joining the MLSListings leadership team, David made his mark with companies such as IBM, Siemens, and Cisco Systems, in positions spanning Product Management, Marketing, and Software Architecture and Software Development.
David began his career in software development, quickly expanding to managing large engineering teams across three different countries. Leveraging the increased exposure to customers and their business plans, he then moved into technical marketing, where he made great strides in helping sales teams close business faster. During his tenure at Cisco, David held many senior roles, including managing Engineering, Architecture, Marketing, and Product Management teams. In one of his positions, he was responsible for implementing the Cloud architecture and software that was used to deliver Cisco services to customers globally.
David is widely respected for his talent to lead cross-functional teams by setting clear goals and driving collaboration to deliver on companies’ business priorities.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, and a Masters in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.
Vice President, Product of Management
Aaron Hyde is the Vice President of Product Management for MLSListings. Aaron leads the product management team in the development, service, maintenance, and review of real estate technology products designed to bring MLSListings subscribers leading-edge business support tools. In his role, Aaron blends technology, engineering, and the needs of the user to enhance MLSListings service delivery to brokers and agents.
Aaron is a technology industry leader who has helped to bridge the divide between engineering, product development, and marketing strategies for some of Silicon Valley’s signature companies. Over the course of his 25-year career, Aaron has served in leadership roles for companies such as Adobe, HP, Ricoh, AMD, Motorola, Apple, and many others. His expertise covers a vast area of disciplines with software applications, operating systems, technology platforms, Internet applications/services, digital media applications, and mobile devices/applications/security.
Aaron’s experience includes defining, creating, and launching developer relationship programs and strategies for hardware and mobile platforms. Among his credits, Aaron has helped to establish high-tech and start-up companies with product strategy, definition, and demand generation. He has also conducted market research and competitive analysis for a SaaS-based interactive online video editing, production, analytics, and distribution platform.
Aaron was the founder, lead architect, and engineer for a Web-based content publishing and management application. In addition, he researched and defined program requirements to support building relationships with leading U.S. universities to expand their use of technologies. Aaron is a recognized expert in SaaS, Agile Methodology, market/customer research, platform evangelism, and competitive analysis. He is passionate about understanding market needs and trends in order to fully represent the voice of the customer when defining product requirements and driving development.
Aaron received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also holds certifications in Product Management and Product Marketing Management from Blackblot; Product Management Expertise, Optimal Agile Development from the 280 Group, as well as a certification in Competitive Analysis and Strategic Planning from the American Management Association.
MLSListings Inc Strategic Architect, MBA, JD
Jeremy Conaway is a recognized and leading expert in the field of real estate brokerage, association and MLS design, and a leading source of strategic and tactical ideas and applications for the real estate industry. He is a nationally known speaker, author, and facilitator. He has created business plans, strategic campaigns, and tactical objectives for some of the top companies in the real estate services industry. Jeremy has a clear vision of the future of the real estate industry and a strong sense of where real estate brokers, association executives and MLS leaders must position themselves today to enjoy the benefits of tomorrow.
As a brokerage design consultant, Jeremy works with some of the largest real estate firms in the North American brokerage industry, with more than 80,000 agents producing over $95 billion in annual sales. His counsel and expertise is constantly sought by many of his brokerage clients that are now leading their marketplaces into the new real estate transaction. Jeremy believes that today’s real estate brokerage can and will remain at the center of the real estate interaction. He is committed to the success of the real estate brokerage services.
As a fellow member of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Jeremy was formerly a member of the staff of the California Legislature, the United States Senate and the Connecticut Legislature. He received his bachelor’s degree from California State University, his MBA from the University of Maryland and his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific.
