Terry McGowan has been a resident of the Monterey Peninsula since 1964, and has great knowledge of the area, having lived, gone to school and worked in the communities of Pebble Beach, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and Carmel Valley.  Terry has been committed to helping people with their real estate needs since 1991.  Terry is a graduate of the California Realtor Institute, earning him the prestigious GRI designation.
     
     Terry began work in his parents service oriented, high-end children's shoe store, the Children's Bootery, that was a landmark in Monterey for 33 years, which he purchased in 1974.  That was where Terry's dedication to quality service and high ethics took shape.  He handles all the details of each transaction in order to assure the highest level of service.  With great organizational and communication skills, Terry walks clients through the maze of home buying or selling with a positive, can-do attitude, educating clients to market conditions and real estate realities.  Always available to answer questions, solve problems and get the job done, Terry will always do the right thing for you.

     Terry, and his wife Suzanne, are the proud parents of three boys and three girls.  Blessed with eight grandchildren (and counting), much of the families' free time is spent enjoying the little ones.  Suzanne is the owner/director of the Potrero Canyon School/Camp Carmel programs, with over 30 years of high quality education and child care in the Carmel area.  She gives Parent Workshops to help parents create happier families.  

     The rest of Terry's free time goes to his coaching interests.  Having coached his own children in youth sports, Terry led the Carmel High School Softball program in 1997, guiding the Padres to 8 straight playoff appearances from 1999-2006, while winning 3 league titles.  He was also instrumental in the building of the softball complex at Carmel Middle School.  Terry currently gives clinics for youth and high school coaches on how to build successful softball programs based on teaching character, values, integrity, commitment and taking pride in all you do.
