Monterey Bay in Central California is a great place to live and work, which is why Karen Chalgren chose to call it home. With roots in the San Francisco Bay Area, Karen moved to the small coastal town of Aptos, approximately 85 miles south of San Francisco, 40 miles “over the hill” from the Silicon Valley, and 35 miles north of Monterey.  After more than two decades residing in Santa Cruz County, Karen knows the area well and can help buyers find the perfect property.

Karen Chalgren has a wide range of experience in the real estate industry, starting with her Interior Design Certification that developed into a real estate career.  She began by offering Realtors professional design staging services.  With great success, she became a Realtor herself and started working with homeowners with the preparation and sale of their home.  She helps her sellers make cost effective decisions, recommends smart home improvements and offers her creative staging services in order to prepare the property for showing its best.

 In addition to her real estate expertise, she is a legal scholar with a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies.  Using her legal knowledge, Karen takes an educational approach in helping her clients understand each step of the buying and selling process.  She stays on top of current issues and legal developments in California real estate law and regularly attends seminars, workshops, and training sessions.  It is easy to see why clients trust Karen Chalgren with their real estate transactions.
