Monterey California March 14, 2013 - Linda Michaels, Realtor  has been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS (NAR).
 
Linda Michaels joins more that 16,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and seller aged 55 and older.

Michaels has decades of experience in the senior retirement industry, helping seniors in transition. She was the move-in coordinator at The Park Lane in Monterey, a rental retirement community, and director of marketing and admissions at both life care and assisted living senior retirement communities. She was a certified moving consultant for the local Allied Van Lines affiliate and the was the owner of Moving Matters, Inc., a company focused on assisting people who are moving, especially helping seniors with their moves into retirement communities.

Michaels is a graduate of the paralegal program at California State University at Monterey Bay, Center for Legal Studies and received the West Legal Award for outstanding scholastic achievement. She also received a certificate of achievement in real estate from Monterey Peninsula College, having completed the real estate curriculum in 2008. She has been a California licensed salesperson since 2009.
